2 column with custom size for each column using Core pack

Hi Guys & Gals, might be a rookie question, but here goes…

In elements, I have dropped in a 2 column from the Core pack, I want to make the first column smaller in width than the 2nd column.

I have tried searching for the answer and am unsuccessful in achieving this without creating a custom component. Is there an easier way to achieve this? I unfortunately feel I’m missing something and would appreciate any assistance with this. See screenshots attached. Thanks in advance.

Hi @gthinx

I’m not sure what the “2 column from the Core pack” is referring to. There is no component called “2 column”, is this a template?

Might be easier if you could share a link to your project via Elements Cloud. That way we can easily see how you have everything set up :slightly_smiling_face:

Easiest way that comes to mind is drop a grid of 10 columns on the page. Place 2 containers as grid items into the grid, and set one to 7 columns and one to 3 columns. Voila, 70/30 2 column layout.

@gthinx, you’ll need to set the grid to have more columns, then use containers on the inner items to specify how much space they take up.

Here’s a quick video to show you how to do it:

Hi Ben, it may well be a template, I found the 2 column in a list in the core pack, see attached image for reference.

Thanks heaps Steve!

Thanks Dan, the video was a nice touch and it explained everything perfectly!!
