Yeah, I’m with the majority of users. I never hit done, except for photo editing, because it was required. In fact, it was always weird to me that I needed it for photos, the fact I HAD to hit done was very jarring. I noticed that. I didn’t even notice the done option for other stacks.
As someone else said, the habits and workflows we develop are so interesting, and ingrained. It explains why people get so annoyed when behaviour changes. And why some apps are very “unmac-like” because they mimic behaviour from Windows rather than OSX. (Closing an entire app via closing a window for example.)
