9.6 Classis has FTP issues

Today I updated to Classic 9.6 and am not able to use the FTP functionality, it gives a weird error message that I have not see before since I started using Rapidweaver since almost 9 years ago. Please see the screenshot.

I have tried different connections and all give the same error, I finally had to use FileZilla that did work and without ANY error during the transfer!

I look forward to advice!

take a look at this post: Publishing Seems to Have Gone South - #12 by Pegasus

it might help to set “mode” to active

thanks for this, I have tried but not working, the only thing that currently works is FTP in combination with extended passive, active doesn’t work in both modes.
I seen the issue is more discussed around Elements and not 9.6 Classic, are there any further settings I could think of? I do prefer to use publishing in FTPS mode.

Can you try SFTP?

Yes I have and it gives another error…also I noticed when publishing starting up I see "forcibly reset messages first and continues to show uploading for just a moment and followed by the error message…

Hi @fmonnee, can you share the error message you received?

Could you also share your FTP details with us so we can test it here and figure out what’s going on? Send them to: forumsupport@realmacsoftware.com

I am also seeing weird things. I can update the home page and it uploads ok, but child pages do not update!

HI @dan the error message is in the screenshot, "couldn’t upload… to your FTP-TLS server!etc.
What FTP info would you require from me?

Can you send us the publishing logs? Details on how to do that are here!

thanks @dan I just sent you the log files, it created 3 files.

Sorry to be a pain, but those last logs weren’t too helpful. Can you re-publish (when you get the error) and send the new logs over to forumsupport@realmacsoftware.com

Thanks!
