RapidWeaver Elements 2.1.1 (24148)
I thought I’d install this on my laptop (MacBook Pro M3) but it is asking for an activation code. I submitted my email address and entered the code. This doesn’t work and “An error occurred trying to activate.” message appears. There seems to be no way to request another activation code!! I’ve rebooted, reentered the information, still get the failure with the only activation code I have. I deleted the email that the code was sent in, and I see no way or option to receive a new code.
Can I not have Elements on two computers? (one desktop, one laptop). If not, this is a major inconvenience and severe limitation. Otherwise, how do I get this fixed? Or, what is the problem?
Hi @agilefalcon
I think you might be entering the one-time Elements Cloud verification code, not your Elements app license key.
We have a guide in the Help Docs on how to activate the app. Make sure you are following along with that.
If you have any troubles with it please let me know.
Well, isn’t that special? That was exactly the problem. The dialog box specifically states “Activation Code.” It doesn’t mention “License” key at all. As part of the install, you have to Activate the program, I went through those steps and received the code. I entered it, then was asked to enter it again.
May I suggest that the wording be changed to indicate the “License” versus the activation code? In my mind, those are two different things.
Thank you for figuring this out.

Yep, I’ve already requested this. I think there’s a ticket in for the change.
Sorry for any confusions.
Happy to hear you are up and running now. If you encounter any additional troubles please let us know.
