The layout of the method of choosing a font to add to the Family Font Settings is not at all intuitive. After several attempts I finally got what I wanted from Google fonts, but I thought to myself, if the rest of Elements is as unintuitive as this, I don’t want to have anything to do with it. Intuitiveness is what the Mac is all about. If I have to learn by experimentation/trial-an-error what I have to do next, I am finished with Elements. I hope you really appreciate what I mean. If I can not know intuitively what my next step is from what is displayed on the screen, it is useless to old guys like me.
Besides it creates an overload of work for the support people.
When software companies stop allowing users to phone them and email them and revert to Chat Bots, the program is badly set out. I don’t want Elements to be like that. You’ve worked to hard for it.

Thanks for sharing your feedback! I totally get where you’re coming from—intuitive design is key, especially in a Mac environment where things should just make sense without too much trial and error. I’m really sorry the font selection process felt frustrating, and I appreciate you sticking with it to get it working.
Your input is super valuable, and I’ll make sure this gets noted as an area that could be improved. The goal is definitely to make Elements as user-friendly as possible, so feedback like yours helps a ton. Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts—I really appreciate it!
