I have a container with an image (our logo) and a text box in a horizontal row. How do I get the text box to be adjacent to the logo image?
Hey @traut,
I’d recommend using a flex inside of the container. Here’s a quick video I recorded for you, that explains how to do it:
Hope that helps!
Thanks for the demo. Because the symbols use the same color, I had assumed that container, flex, grid were similar in container function, but flex and grid were just a little more complex.
Thanks for the detailed help.
One more Q: I used to be able to take screenshots, and then attach them to my forum question for others to see some details with my situation/problem. That function has changed.
When I use the paper clip icon I get a new window and it is not clear if my screenshot gets attached.
Just a couple more Qs:
Attached is page for Karyn; it will not use the assigned font for her name.
I can’t center her name, so used 3 columns, but still have to use space bar to nudge it to center.
Can’t reduce her photo size; again used 3-column to get her photo to be smaller, but can’t get Bgd color, to be the same.
Cantering text is done by going to spacing and making both side margins auto. Photo size is done by adjusting settings in properties bar. Can you load a copy of you project yet? If so put it on here and you will get help.
Here’s a quick video I recorded for you showing the easy way to centre text and images.
Hope that helps!
I’m guessing you want to know how to style text… Here’s another video I recorded just for you:
It would also be worth checking out the Docs as we cover the text component, and how to use it there (including videos).
You need to change the size of the image in sizing area as per the video, you are entering the px and % in the wrong setting, your are trying to use file size
No idea what you are looking at there Tom. In both videos above you can see a load of options on the right hand side of the screen - these are the Properties being referred to. If you click on the image you want to change you can then click on those options. Under ‘Sizing’ you will find the width box. Under ‘Spacing’ you will find the padding and margin options.
Screenshot below from one of my sites.
In a tutorial Dan uses an SVG. My images are all jpg’s. Should/could they be converted to SVGs?
A JPG image should work just fine ![]()
Could you share your project via Elements Cloud and paste the link here, that way we can find out what’s going on and give you a solution. It’s a bit hard to diagnose from a static screenshot.
I don’t know how to do that
It’s very easy, watch the video here…
