AI Writing Assistant already at maintenance :-)

When I opened my mailbox this morning, I saw this new email from Dan with the subject line: Introducing Elements AI Writing Assistant. After quickly watching the video, I grabbed a cup of coffee, and what does a small child do when he gets a new toy? That’s right, he wants to play with it immediately. Unfortunately, the joy was short-lived when I saw the following message:

My advice: do not take a child’s toys away before he has had a chance to play with them. :slight_smile:

I cannot even see the AI icon in the UI. I have a Plus subscription and I am logged into Elements Cloud Account. What am I missing?

Right click the bar at the top of the panel you want to access the AI from.
Click Panels and select Writing Assistant.
Et voila!

I had just installed the AI writing Assistant, and now my Elements App wanted a ‘one time’ code, which I acquired. Now, Elements says I’m a new user with a trial license!!

I had to cancel a meeting to show a webpage in person. Seriously, adding an AI shouldn’t decapitate my app. By the way… PLEASE SEND ME MY LICENSE KEY.

I’m so sorry to hear that. The logging out of Elements was due to server issues (not related to AI).

You can request your Elements license here: Realmac Software - License & Billing Support

This should get you back up and running in minutes. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks Ken. Hardly intuitive though. Dan, is it not advisable to somehow make this new feature more visible to toggle on and off?

It should be visible by default, not sure why it wasn’t showing for you. Perhaps you have a custom UI layout setup :thinking:

Please remember this is just a “Preview” of the our new AI based features we’re working on, we want to be cautious about placing it in-front of EVERYONE all at once.

I am not getting the icon in the toolbar that accesses the AI writing tool. I have updated and check that I am logged in. What am I missing?

Right click on the top bar. Select Panels and then Writing Assistant
