We’ve just published two new videos to show you how to add your OpenAI or Clause API Key into the Elements CMS, this gives you the ability to use the writing assistant in the Markdown editor ![]()
I keep reading conflicting reports…
I know Claude is better for coding - now
Which is better? Claude or Open AI?
Would like honest opinions…
Why is it better?
I tried Claude 1-2 years ago for 1 month and at that time Open AI was ‘better’
Anyone? Opinions please?
Edit:
I guess I can change? Export rules… just seems like you get locked in to a particular AI with your history and it knowing what you want…
Honestly - for me - Gemini would be best… multimedia creation- movies and photos.. etc
I had ChatGPT for a while, but I switched to Grok in the past 6 months. My reason for switching was it is associated with my X account and I do like that it is a little more open.
I just signed up for Claude for a year to give it a try, but would definitely like to see Grok added to the Online CMS options.
Right now we support the following AI providers for the Writing Assistant:
- Anthropic (Claude)
- OpenAI
- Google (Gemini)
We have no plans to support Grok at this time.
Please remember this is different to the built-in MCP server, that works with Claude, or any LLM clients that supports a custom MCP server (either authorisation header or URL-with-token format).
Hope that helps!
@differentdan Would like to upgrade from solo to studio please… what should I do? went to license - no upgrade path…
I believe @dan refunded you already per his post here:
You should be able to purchase the Studio license, and then you can just switch out your license key in the Editor Settings to that new Studio license you purchase.
Let me know if you have any troubles with it. ![]()
Thank you
yes - bought the studio and got Gemini up and running…
Made a mistake - should not have gone with Gemini
Watch ‘Blog Superpowers’ and realized that is what I wanted - need Claude
Trying to get a refund for Gemini. - then switch to Claude
Thanx for your help and support!!!
I have to say, I’ve been impressed with Claude thus far especially its ability to integrate with the CMS.
I did do a test and used the same prompt in the Dashboard as I did in the Claude desktop app and got different results. @ben @dan Maybe there is a way to do this in the Dashboard?
In the Claude desktop app, I defined a project with more refined project instructions. I then told it within the desktop app to add it to my CMS and it added it and even created tags for it.
Working on standardizing Header Sizes now..
Claude Command: Read all articles in the CMS. For each article: set the article title as H1, change the first level of content headings to H2, and change any subheadings within those sections to H3. Before making any changes, show me a summary of the current heading structure across all articles. Then test on the first 3 articles and show me the before and after. Wait for my approval before proceeding with the rest
Really Really COOL
AMAZING
This is doing what I’ve expected computers to do for the past 40 years - FINALLY
@MichaelDroste that’s awesome to hear, it really is a fun way to work ![]()
I’ve recored a few getting started videos for Claud and the MCP server in Elements CMS, but it looks like you’ve already figured it out ![]()
if anyone else is reading this and doesn’t know what all the fuss is about, I highly recommend you watch these videos now!
You have to do this from the desktop Claude app, there’s no way to do this in the CMS Dashboard.
Don’t forget the Claude Cowork tab can have access to your Mac so you can do even more advanced workflow, like uploading markdown files or images directly from the Finder or on a schedule, it’s really powerful!
Yup, I’m on the Max plan here, it’s addictive stuff ![]()
I just added some credits until I can figure out what my actual usage is going to be. It’s a big jump for $20 for the Pro plan to $100 for the max plan.
Thanks Dan for mentioning this. I’ve been using it and it is a tremendous advance in workflow. I am finding Claude to be much more help in writing than Grok and I thought Grok was pretty good. Really liking this!!!
