I love the simple new masonry grid in elements. Is there a way to add alt text to the pictures? Or is that something that will be added in the future?
In Elements, you can generally add alt text by adding a caption in the Resource Inspector panel… I’ve not actually tested this in the Masonry Grid, but give it a go and let me know if that works for you. If it doesn’t we’ll get it fixed up!
simple answer no it dont take captions with it

Again, a caption is not an alt tag - they are for entirely different purposes
In Elements the field is multipurpose, while it’s titled caption it can also be used for the alt tag.
