Auto Backup?

I was tidying up my project directories which meant moving my Elements projects and DevPacks and then setting up the links to my project’s DevPacks. I needed to look at a previous version of a project and so I went to my back up program, Carbon Copy Cloner (CCC), to recover the Elements project from a few hours ago. Having recovered it, Elements wouldn’t open it.

Having got Claude to review the situation, Claude suggested it could be because Elements was still active when the backup was done.

Fortunately, I managed to sort out the situation without having to use a backup.

I have now setup Keyboard Maestro to create a time-stamped backup of the Elements project when the Elements App is closed (and also of the related DevPacks). CCC will now be backing up the time stamped copies which is what I would recover from in the future.

However, it seems to me that Elements should have a feature to do this automatically, hence this post.
