Auto-Save Feature Request

I just spent 2 hours working on a site, I went to close the project and accidently hit “Cancel” instead of “Save”. All my work is gone :sob:. I would like to request an Auto-Save feature for those of us who have trigger fingers and click things by accident, or at least a popup when we hit cancel asking us if we’re sure we want to cancel.

thank you

Good idea - preferences check box perhaps?

I second the Preferences [ x ] checkbox implementation.

This feature cuts both ways. When you go off in the weeds, and Undo is a lengthy or multi-dimensional, one often wants to cut their losses and simply revert to last saved. Also complicated in Elements, as Undo is not always available in some contexts, so not always clear what one is rolling back “to”.

Understand no-one wants an explosion of Preferences. Have a hunch this is a pretty strong preference ;^)

Hence have a check box in preferences to engage or choose not to….

Something like in Classic?

Do you have Time Machine enabled on your Mac? Just checking if you have anything you could pull a backup from.

I also would love to see an auto save feature :stuck_out_tongue:

Another +1 on auto save preference

Time Machine. It’s what it’s for.

Logic Audio Pro has a very nice auto save feature

Allows: last timed saved versions or auto save!

Usually you want the auto save version as it is more up to date….

But with many thousands of third party audio plugins - even with au scan for compatibility - logic can crash frequently - and you want the last auto saved version…

That would be great. No I didn’t have my Time Machine plugged in at the time.

Yes, this would be super handy. I’ll get it on the list to be added :+1:
