Is there a setting I have accidentally turned on? I frequently try a little something and preview it. If it doesn’t work I close the site and re-open. But recently no matter how quick/small the change was when I re-open it has autosaved.
I find this very frustrating.
Closing the site triggers a save or delete message.
What is it that you’re doing you can’t use Undo?
I no longer get the save or delete message like I used to
addendum! I just closed Elements, rebooted my Mac and the message box is back! Strange.
@differentdan do you know if an autosave feature is coming. I just had Elements crash while working on a project, I think this is the first time Elements has crashed on me. I lost a couple hours worth of work 
Arlen whilst I feel your pain I have gotten into this myself many times in many programmes. I now do something, check it works and then save it, add something and check again and so on. If using AI help I do this after every step. If something then fails and I can not work out why I close the file without saving and reopen it and I’m back to the point of it working again to try going forward in a different manner. It might not be ideal but command and “S” becomes your friend! 
Similar thing here; I have an inbuilt twitch that hits Cmd-S when I stop entering material.
