Background Ends Prematurely on Edge/Chrome

I have a fixed background with components over it. They scroll nicely over the background, which does not end WHEN USING SAFARI, but with Chrome/Edge, the background ends and the rest of the contents flow over the bottom into white space. This is seen with those two browsers on other machines, like at our family history center. Why is there a difference between the Safari browser and Chromium ones? Actually also happens with FireFox as well.

How can this be corrected?

Try this link in Edge or Chromium, and compare with Safari

I found a solution after a LOT of just trying things. Turns out if I put an additional container into the background container that holds the image and “Fixed” option, the contents inside this additional container allow the background to expand the image with the contents scrolling over it.

I have struggle with this for the past week. I discovered the problem with the background just stopping at 100vh with the contents scrolling past the bottom of the background when on our FamilySearch Center computers using Chrome and Edge. I had no idea that there was this issue as it did not show up using Safari.

Glad you got it sorted
