Background overlay shows 'code' at bottom

Can anybody tell me - is this a bug or am I doing something stupid (again) ?

Code at very bottom of page when background image overlay applied

I cant get background overlay to work well

… and I’d expect it to have an opacity adjustment, no ?

I’m 99% certain the issue is due to using an SVG as the background image — could you try using a jpg or png and see if things start working as expected?

Hi Ben, I’m sure I can do that but … the size of my svg is 4k … whilst a png to do the same job would be around 200k … so I prolly wouldn’t

Can it be fixed ?

A single colour transparent PNG will be VERY small, almost the same as the SVG.

Will try … but it’s still an error, right ?

Well, the background overlay isn’t supposed to support SVGs… So the bug is that the drop well allows you to drop in an SVG. We’ll get this patched up at some point. Either way, we’d recommend using a PNG for this specific use case.

Dan

It does appear to work well - other than the code appearing

However - I do accept your answer

I got lovely crisp two-tone graphics with an svg … fuzzy edges with a .png file

Why can’t we leverage this ?

If the edges look fuzzy, you png probably isn’t large enough…
