I have just started using Elements and I have a one page site taken from a 3 page template. I added two links and turned off two additional pages that existed. By law here, I need to add an additional language site, which I thought I would be able to do easily. I don’t see a way to do that and I have looked in the forum for an easy way. I’m not a coder; I am more comfortable doing things visually.
I see a couple of solutions that I don’t really understand. I tried the AI, but the solution didn’t work. It involved making folders for /en/ and /fr/ and putting the page and anchor links in them (my site is one page and two anchor links), but the menu becomes a dropdown folder. If that is the correct way to go and someone can help me fix it, please advise me.
I was thinking to make a new site in French by doing a save as, because there is very little text, and link the two sites together. with an EN/FR flag. That’s how I’ve always done it before, but it was automatic with other software.

I’ve built several bilingual sites over the years, and I keep everything within a single project.
I typically use the base language (e.g. /en/) and then nest the second language (e.g. /fr/ or /es/) beneath it. I create separate navigation and footer components for each language, along with language switch buttons/images that link visitors to the equivalent page in the other language.
It takes a little more setup initially, but I’ve found it much easier to maintain than managing two separate projects, especially as the site grows or content changes.
I’m sure there are more elegant ways to handle multilingual sites, but this approach has worked well for us. We haven’t had a large enough bilingual project yet to justify looking into a more advanced solution.
Thanks for replying. If I can get past the issue with the Navigation links turning into a folder, I will try the /en/ option. I queried the AI for help and may have a resolution, but I’m not sure about it.

I’m used to a graphical interface and an automatic multi language interface. I’m not against learning how to do this, but I’m finding it a bit opaque, especially since it’s not in the help files.
