Hello, I purchased elements in the summertime, I would like to take advantage of the Black Friday sale and buy a year. Will that year start when my other previously purchased subscription ends? I wanted to make sure before I buy, that it would stack, and I would be covered for the entire time, ie 1.5 years.
Well - honestly - me too
the sale is amazing
$139 for Pro is really generous…
Short version: The subscription term starts with the successful purchase, not with the activation.
The Terms of Service state: “The subscription period begins on the date of successful registration” — meaning the moment you complete the purchase, not when you activate it (Terms of Service, section “Subscription Period”).
The FAQ adds: With your purchase, you receive 1 year of app updates. The license itself does not expire, but the update period is renewed annually (FAQ).
You can find more details here: Terms of Service and FAQ.
Due to the way our payment provider works, we can’t easily extend an existing license like this (annoyingly).
It’s something we’re very aware of. Once payments in the app and the new store are unified, we’ll be able to support cases like this properly.
Right now, the only workaround is to handle it manually. We can refund the unused portion of your current subscription, then you can buy a new license at the Black Friday price. You’d just need to unregister Elements and enter the new license afterwards. It’s a bit of a faff, but it works.
If you want to go ahead, @differentdan can probably sort it. Email support@realmacsoftware.com with a link to this thread and he’ll take it from here ![]()
ok thanks so much, ill give it a shot! I appreciate the response!
I’d like this too. Could this be generalised? I also bought Elements Pro in August, after having bought RWC two weeks earlier, but then realised RWC was a dying swan. This could be a win-win situation for both of us; you’re already receiving next year’s funds, and we already have a great deal for next year.
Exactly, email support@realmacsoftware.com with a link to this thread and we’ll see what we can do ![]()
nice idea. classic + elements blackfriday bundle
maybe a discount for essentials for black friday? ![]()
Thanks @dan,
