Blog Page Layout

I am trying to remake my Foundry Alloy Blog – as I had spent a good time making it the way I wanted it. In Elements I have recreated the page but running into issues to link the post correctly. I have 4 Collections Post [to build my layout] and when I view – each collection just repeats, which is not what I want.

When I asked the bot for help - it mentioned using tags but unclear.

I have tried different ways but it seems that if I want the 4 collections I would need to have 4 folders for the Post, which is not want I want.

I just want to use the same layout I had before. Essentially recreating my Classic Blog Web Page for the Elements one. Any suggestion as to how I should handle it?

Basically, this layout is already possible to achieve. I’m using it in one of my blogs.

However, if you want to use this layout, there are some drawbacks and quite a bit of work involved.

At the moment, you need to create a separate collection for each section. To prevent duplicate posts from appearing, you then have to work with filters in the item collections and configure them so that no posts are repeated.

Also, a really meaningful use of the Load More and Pagination items doesn’t work properly with this setup right now.

But who knows… Dan and Ben are probably secretly reading along here in the forum. Since many users are asking for more flexibility in blog design, I could imagine that—with enough “likes”—this request might make it onto the CMS 2 feature list.
