OK, I made and placed a new sitemap in Resources and updated the site to server. I also reported the url to the location of the file to google via the console.

I would like to thank posters here for their support. I can now after some basic tests see that my site do show up in a resonable way via google searches. I learned bot one or two things about how things work - thank you! I think that the addition of a sitemap in resources has done some good.
I declare hereby the matter closed and Iām satisfied
