Blur bug found on Web preview

Good morning gents. I think I may have found a possible bug when making a button like Danny’s Glass ones (though mine are inferior) in the button’s settings’ section for setting Filters. The backdrop blur function does not appear to work, in Static or Hover when displayed/previewed on screen, no blur is present, yet it is viewable and adjustable in the Edit window.

I just tested this on my end and it appears to be working just fine when previewed in the browser, the blur is being applied, in either the static or the hover mode.

Wasn’t there a report of something similar with Safari. Somebody suggested going to Settings | Feature Flags and enabling something? I can’t find the details of what needed to be enabled/disabled

Yes, enable Developer mode in the Advanced tab in Settings, go to the Feature Flags tab in Settings and enable CSS Unprefixed Backdrop Filter. Safari 26 has this set by default I believe, but not older versions.

Thank you Andy, I could have never found this looking on my own. Unfortunately, I am using a 7 year old intel iMac and using Ventura & Safari 18, I would never have thought to look at Safari as being the cause.

No problem - roughly the same here (but 5 year-old intel MacBook Pro).

I’m sure you realise that any of your website visitors on unmodified pre-v26 Safari will not see the background blur either. However, it works fine in Chrome and mobile Safari…
