Button as Global

If I transform a button as Global, it would then be very useful to be able to also set the Link in the Global Overrides section.

Because the properties that commonly differ between one button and another are definitely the text, the icon, but most importantly the link.

If you are able to add the Link in Globals Overrides then it makes much more sense to impossibly set a Button as Global and with just a few clicks you can easily change the styles of buttons found throughout the site.

Good news: you can already do this, and more!

Simply “unlink” each setting from the Global by clicking the link icon next to each control — it’s a really flexible system that allows complete control over any/all settings on each instance of a global :exploding_head::star_struck:

Ops… I forgot.

Is this redundant to the “Global Overrides”, then? What’s the point of having those two methods of breaking from the global?

The Global Overrides are for the “on page” content — so an editable Text, and/or any dropzone content.
