Button background colours won't change in theme

Newbie question.

I’m building a page using the Landing template, and I want to change the background colours of the buttons. The changes are reflected in Elements, but not when I preview in browsers. Although the “None” type does work, the “Static” and “Hover” types do not. Changing the opacity is reflected correctly in the browsers.

This is also the case if I try to change the font colours of the buttons.

This issue is specific to this template, as I have tested using a different template and also a blank template without issue.

Note that other modifications to the button work fine and the problem is specific to the background colour.

Thanks for any suggestions as to why.

I have cured the problem. I was in Dark Mode. Changing the mode cured the issue.

No problem, you’re not the first to have been confused by this. I wonder if we should somehow make it more obvious as to what mode you’re editing in :thinking:
