Can... If so, where?

Good morning,

(1) Can old RW stacks be used, tweaked or repurposed for Elements by someone who doesn’t like coding (like me) and has little experience in it?

(2) Where’s the blog component? I read the posts on the subject and it sounds too complex for me.

(3) How to get rid of the additional track on the audio player in the Solo theme? I’m using that theme because I have an audio track that features prominently in the purpose of my site and it really looks good. It’s set up perfectly now, but when I go to delete that additional track Dan put in the theme, it just deletes the whole component. I’ve studied it in the inspector and the code. Thought I deleted it in the code but it’s still showing. Can someone help me out with this one? I just want my one track in there. Thanks.

I was using the trial version of Elements and got to the section of my site where I needed to place some text heavy content. I put in a typography component and watched the videos, but they don’t seem to go any deeper on the topic. Frankly, I was surprised by the lack of different styling options available. I know styles can be created in the studio, but I was looking for easy drag and drop stuff. So I read that more advanced features were included with the paid version so I went ahead and bought the plus. After downloading, I don’t see any of those “advanced” features. So I’ve been snooping around the other free themes to get ideas and then copying component arrangements from them. Not very satisfactory. Am I missing something?

Hi,

→ 1 No, old RW stacks cannot be used. But you will see many custom components appear for free or paid in the marketplace/store for Elements. For special cases you can ask here for someone to create a solution for you.

→ 2 Right now, I agree. The Blog needs manual steps and input. This will only be for a limited time, as RW is working on an online editor which makes using a blog much more simple.

→ 3 Can you send me your project? Then I can have a look. Send it via swisstransfer.com to hallo@einfach-gute-seiten.de

→ 4 The text/typography needs improvement, I agree. I think RW is already working on this, but I have no ETA. Rest assured, this will get better.

Cheers,
Jan

Okay. It’s going to be a long one page site. I only have two section left - the long content part mentioned, and then a footer which will contain credits for photos and contact info. I have not put a space for the footer in yet. Thanks!

Hi,

here you see that you have two tracks included:

In the text „Item 1 of 2”. Click on the arrow to move to track 2:

Then click on the waste basket to delete it and only one is left.

Cheers,
Jan

Thank you so much Jan!
