I have a container in a global. I’ve enabled the global overwrites container button.
But when I change the background color of the container, it changes the color of the container on every page where the global is used.

And for that, you would have had to follow the development of Elements from the very beginning : this feature has been there since the start. Completely overlooked and probably buried under the rapid development of Elements with all those improvements and new features.
No problem, I really need to get ALL this stuff in the Elements Manual - I’m slowly getting there, but sometimes it feels like it’s not fast enough!
The Globals feature is VERY powerful as you can override most settings, just look for the little link icon next to each control
