Can't seem to get markdown files to import to collection / item (trying to build a blog page)

RapidWeaver Elements 1.2.2 (23835)

Created a new page, added my site header and sidebar (both global components), then dragged a collection component and then an item component inside it, into the page. I created a “cms” folder in the resources pane, then a subfolder named “posts”. I then used BBE to create a sample markdown file in plain text, properly formatted with the — and other sections, followed by another —.

Set the collection component folder link to /cms/posts

No joy. What am I missing?

you don’t need to place an Item inside the Collection component.

Watch the video below to get a better understanding of how the Collection works, and let us know how you get on!

Thank you!

Watching this video, slowly, sometimes repeating sections. I’m stuck on how the cms/posts folders got into the pages pane. Mine was created in the resources section.

Also, watching this video, I realized that I needed to go back to earlier CMS related videos. I went back to Dev Diary 90. Early in THAT video, Ben pulls a “posts grid” from the templates/project pane. Can you give me the links to download those projects (including Appleseed)?

thanks for your patience with me on this!

I’ve been using RWC for quite a while, and am still struggling to convert my thinking…

Take a look at the sample blog Project that shipped along side the video @ben posted…

Thanks Dan! I’ll play with this a bit now….
