I’m posting this here because my previous support requests have remained unanswered, and I’m hoping someone (team or community) can finally provide clarity or a solution.
Background (brief):
About six months ago I moved from RapidWeaver Classic to RapidWeaver Elements. Since then, I’ve purchased all available Elements expansions, and extras, including Card Flip.
The issue:
I can no longer install Card Flip on my iMac with an Intel processor. When I try to review the receipt during installation, I consistently get the following error:
The issue occurs in both Elements 1 and Elements 2
The same license and element work perfectly on my MacBook with an M1 processor
At this point, I’d really appreciate:
Confirmation that this issue is known, or
Clear guidance on how to resolve it, or
Any help from the developers or other users would be greatly appreciated, as I’d like to continue supporting this project, but I do need a working solution.
The receipt should have been sent to your email address… perhaps check your junk folder.
However, you don’t need a receipt to install your addons. Simple sign into your Elements Cloud account on your Mac and go to the store window. Under Purchases you should see an install button
The receipt is not in my junk folder. When I do this with another purchase, e.g. “Random Content”, it opens with the receipt immediately in my browser:
However, not receiving the receipt is not my first concern. I was mentioning this so it might help you find the course to the issue.
My first concern is that I can not install Card Flip on my iMac anymore. When I try to install the Card Flip, it starts saying downloading, and then it stops, and nothing happens. Perhaps the attached video makes it clearer
I’ve already tried this before and tried it again, but unfortunately, this didn’t help. Regarding the Marquee Pro, I started Elements 1 and tried to install it from there, and that worked. When I started Elements 2 again, it showed install as well. However, this trick does not work with Card Flip so far.
First of all I’d recommend removing Elements 1.x from your system. There’s no need to run both.
After doing that, re-launch Elements 2.x and log-out and log back in again to Elements Cloud, just try one more time to see if it resolves the issue for you.
Let me know how you get on.
I’m cc’ing in @tpbradley who will be able to help diagnose the issue further and resolve it for you if it’s still a problem.
The good news is that I could get it working by removing Elements from my applications, downloading a fresh copy from the site, and installing it again.
