Chillidog warning

I have an open support ticket with Exact from 3 days ago - no response yet.

Today my server monitoring service advises me one of main sites on chillidog has been unavailable at different times - server ip changes - during the business day with no heads up!

I have been busy moving sites to other servers (Siteground and Hostek). One big one to go….

Migrating sites to new servers and changing server IPs without any warning period or advanced notification is… lots of bad adjectives here.

Sorry you’re having to go through all that..

Probably best to jump ship as soon as possible, wherever you land… although we’d love to host you and anybody else looking to move over. :slightly_smiling_face:

Why does it say Get Early Access?

Because it’s a new service and we haven’t done an official public launch yet.

I have zero trust in Exact and have just started the process of moving 4 domains and hosting to Elements. Your unofficial launch couldn’t have come at a better time.

It is very sad how fast Chillidog has gone from best to worst in such a short time. Their service used to be great but it is now non-existent. It is even hard to cancel a service with them, I have had a request in for two weeks to cancel something, and still no luck. Now I’m anxiously waiting to see if they will honor my request to cancel my hosting with them.

Sure gladd I got out of there in time, phew!

Very sad indeed but not at all unexpected.

The very first web hosting company I worked for back in the day was one of the best at the time (consistently amazing reviews online, customers who loved the brand, etc.). Then a larger web hosting conglomerate came along and bought it. This web hosting conglomerate was known in the industry for buying up smaller web hosting brands and then destroying them (customer support being one of the first things to go out the window).

Sure enough, after the deal closed and the transfer/sale completed, they fired every single one of us from the smaller brand, and their customer support went to :poop: .

It was heartbreaking to watch, mainly because we had all built up such strong relationships with our customers and we loved our brand..

Anyway, I can safely say Elements Hosting customers won’t be treated as “just a number”. We actually care about the human connection with our customers. :slightly_smiling_face:

All I can say is the timing of the arrival of Elements Hosting has been most fortunate.

I’ve never worked for a hosting company but I have had experience of being with a relatively small host with reasonable pricing and excellent customer service.

They were taken over by a larger hosting company and after a year or so their prices went through the roof and their customer service went from a 4.5/5 rating to a 2/5 rating on Trustpilot.

I then moved to Chillidog who’ve been great these last few years but I’m not renewing next month due to the change of ownership. I’ll be signing up for Elements Hosting very soon.
