Christian joins the Elements Store with two visually impressive components

Thank you! I’m really happy to hear that you’re getting to grips with my components—helping you push the boundaries of what’s possible in Elements is exactly why I created them… I really love Elements!!!

To help you get started right away, you can find the first tutorial videos on my YouTube channel here:

I also wanted to apologize for the slightly slower response.

I’ve been working hard behind the scenes preparing two very detailed guides—one for Scrollyplay and one for Scrollytelling—to ensure you have all the documentation you need.

Thanks @PMUK I read your email and I contact you ASAP.

Thank you again.

Thank you so much for your reply. I look forward to your new videos; it will be a pleasure to study them for new opportunities. I find Elements and your plug-ins really useful.

What I wanted to ask you is the following. In your video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wy3KfOVsA0Q) at 0.59 seconds, you say that the ‘cinema effect’ animation is created using Scrollytelling and is a sequence of frames.

I’ve tried lots of times, but perhaps due to my lack of knowledge, I haven’t managed to fit the animation into a responsive frame as you show in the example. I’d love to know how you did it.

best regards
Aldo

New Update: WebP Support, Custom Spinners & More!

Hi everyone!
I’m excited to announce a major new update. Your feedback is our fuel, and this build marks a big step forward in performance and customization.
Here’s a recap of the new features:

Scrollytelling

  • WebP Support: Full compatibility with WebP format is now available for your sequences. Enjoy high-quality images with reduced file sizes for lightning-fast loading.

  • Total Spinner Control: A new dynamic indicator has been introduced. You can now choose between an animated progress percentage or the classic spinner.

  • Integrated Branding: Maximum customization! You can now place your custom logo right at the center of the loading spinner.

Scrollyplay

  • Dynamic Loading Spinner: Added a spinner to provide visual feedback during network latency.

  • Custom Logo: You can now center your own logo within the Scrollyplay spinner for a consistent brand identity.

  • General Improvements: Under-the-hood optimizations for superior stability.

What’s coming next?
I want using these tools to be as easy as possible. Early next week, we will release new, detailed, clear, and simple documentation.

Additionally, in one of our upcoming updates, we will include the ability to customize the starting prefix of image sequence names, as suggested by @logrunner. Thank you for the great tip!

My Vision
It is wonderful what we are creating together through Elements. We are all part of a revolution in app development—an app that will keep getting better to ensure that everyone is simply free to create.

PS @aldo, ASAP I’ll post the complete workflow of the part you’re interested in.

Hi everyone! :waving_hand:

Listening to your feedback is my favorite part of development, and today I’m thrilled to announce a new update for Scrollytelling with a couple of very handy workflow improvements!

  • Custom File Name Prefix: A special thanks to @logrunner (Jon) for the great suggestion! I’ve added a “File Name Prefix” field in the sequence settings. From now on, you are no longer forced to use files named exclusively with numbers (e.g., 01.png, 02.png). You can enter a custom text prefix to better organize your assets (for example, using mountain_01.png or spaceship-01.jpg). The component will handle the animation automatically!

  • 6-Digit Support (Final Cut Pro): I’ve also expanded the “File Numbering” padding options up to 6 digits (e.g., 000001.jpg). Since many video editing apps like Final Cut Pro export image sequences in this format by default, you can now use those exported frames directly in the component without going crazy trying to bulk-rename them. :tada:

And that’s not all… a quick heads-up for @aldo: I haven’t forgotten your request!

Later today, if I can manage it, I’ll publish a new YouTube video tutorial to show you exactly how to recreate that awesome “cinema effect” (just like the demo with the spaceship looking at the planet) and how to perfectly fit the animation inside a responsive frame. :clapper_board::sparkles:

The update should already be available for download. Let me know what you think and, as always, keep those fantastic ideas coming!

Cheers!

Chris any update on this please?

Hi @PMUK, I’m so sorry for the delay - I’ve been heads-down launching my new cinematic title component and things got a bit hectic on my end!

I’m picking up your email right now and we’ll get fully caught up ASAP. Thanks so much for your patience, it really means a lot!

Best,
Christian
