I just found the source of a recent sabotage to my Elements version.
I logged in to make an update to my site and was confused when the app wanted me to renew the subscription. I had let it lapse until I could renew it, but was told it should still work until I do.
Support pointed me at the page to get an older version, mainly for those who run into a bug and want to revert, it worked. Then I thought the app was allowing an update without the subscription !!!
The problem was “CleanMyMac” was being helpful and updated the app. I have since put the Elements app in an exception list and don’t have the problem. Where ever or how they get a new version without a current subscription is a puzzler to me, but I wanted to share this with the community in case anyone has this issue.
