Author and Post - is working fine in preview, but once posted does not work … ‘no item found’
Had a quick look, but you’re using the single author item incorrectly. Locally it’s just grabbing the first author to show you a preview (but this shouldn’t even work).
The Author page (with a single item) should only be used for linking to from your posts.
You ideally want an “Authors Page” using the Collection Component to show all authors.
Here’s a video, please note: I made a few missteps as I was doing this on the quickly, on the fly, but ideally you want to set it up more like this…

Ah, that’s annoying, looks like the mic was off. Hopefully you can still follow along by watching what I’m doing in the video.
In short, it’s not a bug in Elements; it’s just that the authors are set up incorrectly.
