I tryed to create a blog with CMS. For all, you have to watch a lot of videos - takes a lot of time. First you have to find the specific videos on YouTube - it takes also a lot of time. There is no structure in the video material - so I´m watching and watching. To create a working blog is quite tricky. Everything is quite confusing. You need a database ore folder with the posts. My customers want to create there posts live on the website - in RW classic i use Armadillo, and that’s wonderful and its working. I couldn´t find a way in Elements.
Another problem is the privacy settings. I couldn´t find a solution. But without these there is no chance to publish a website without these settings in Germany.
Interim balance:
Elements is working in basics. But all specialised things seems very very complicated to create. There a a few nice new features but Elements is miles away from the possibilities in RW classic.
To implement all these possibilities in Elements will be a enormous job - and for us it means watching a lot of more videos in the future.
Sometimes i use a feature only 2 or 3 times in a year. When the last run is over half a year ago I maybe have forgotten how it works and how I have to build it. So when I have no detailed documentation of these website I have to watch a lot of videos a second or third time - when I find them again.
I love RW Classic!
In the near future I think there is no chance to publish on of my websites with Elements. A lot of features are missing and it seems to be very complicated to find solutions for specific things - for example: Armadillo or form loom or poster2.
