CMS just Twig, today’s date or copyright year, use in a new page, this is just example, page was not set up for, at bottom of page, every page would be php if on every page

updated - in a container for bottom date

It’s also sufficient if you use the ITEM CMS instead of the CMS Collection — it works the same way.

Yes that works better I did use that in my tests

It also works for random images using CMS Item

@Pegasus good point
quick update to show item

The nice thing about it is that when you enable “Use Item for Markdown” in the ITEM CMS, you can use almost any Twig syntax for things like the browser title, meta description, and more.

This allows you to manage your content independently from the design. In fact, around 90% of the website’s content can be controlled directly through the CMS.

yes I have been using Item on page for doing a lot of things especially writing custom components

I edit a lot on the server just open the file and change, though Elements is not updated, especially using a controlled md and dropping the entire md file in the folder

Of course, it would be nicer if Twig syntax always worked as soon as the page is set to .php .

It’s a bit annoying to have to use an ITEM CMS just to dynamically output something simple like a date on the website. Basic Twig syntax should ideally be rendered even without using ITEM CMS or a collection item.

@ben — would that be possible to implement?

@Pegasus agreed, I tried that a while ago, had to revert custom component or use CMS, it would be great if that was possible, twig base component if not possible?

I think that should be doable. I’m curious to see what the new, more advanced CMS—currently in development—will bring. And honestly, even now there’s already a lot of potential there.

Knowing Ben, I’m sure he’s already thought of something.

I still haven’t finished testing some things work some don’t more me than the CMS
Agree it’s powerful already not used it to ‘blog’ just for content

ok 3d line custom component, short as possible in code

bit of fun component free updated - elementsapp://downloadDocument/2dEs31s9KFZ2
