CMS behaving strangely

Hello,
First, here is my configuration: Elements CMS without a license. The website is set up for testing on a Synology DS720+. All the requirements for the CMS have been met according to the test.

My problem is that when I try to create a new post (Blog), it saves the file in the folder, but without the content. Only the title is saved. I have created a video to illustrate this: Download the video!.

I have to admit that I haven’t used the online editor very often myself.

Still, I have a suspicion: it’s probably a formatting error that occurs when you paste the text into the editor. Try inserting the content as plain text. On macOS, you can use the shortcut Option (⌥) + Shift (⇧) + Command (⌘) + V for this.

As a general rule, I’d always recommend using this method when copying and pasting into Elements. In my experience, it often saves a lot of time when hunting down hidden formatting errors in Markdown files—or at least, that’s been true for me.

Just out of curiosity: what happens if you don’t paste the text in, but type it out directly on the keyboard? If it then displays correctly, there’s a good chance the cause really is the formatting of the pasted content.

However, if the error also appears when you’re typing directly, it would probably make sense for Ben to take a closer look at this.

Hi @romacasa

I have the same issue. When you create a new blog and you simply copy a text to it then it does not save it. My workaround is that I key in one letter, delete it and then I can copy my text in.

That’s probably something @ben has to have a look.

It seems like it works that way. When you write some text — at least so far — it saves it. I’ll get back to you if it turns out to be a bug after all.
