I am trying to use the built-in cms. My customer just wants a micro blog for each department to be able to post in their particular section. My problem is that I just can’t get it to work. I have looked at the videos and tried to follow the examples but still no luck, I am not sure if I am over complicating the procedure or if it’s just a syntax issue. I want the different department heads to use the online editor. Any help would be most appreciated.

Could you give us a bit more information about what you are trying to do and what’s not working?

Have you tried using the Micro Blog project as a starting point for your project?

A video how the new Microblog works would be useful. How to change it and add your own photos and texts.

I would love to use the micro blog but when I press install it takes me to the marketplace and the component is not listed to download. I have 4 departments at this church that want each head to be able to post in their own ministry blog. I uploaded the link to elements cloud and sent it to Daniel. I may want to add the ability for them to add pictures to their blog posts as well.

That doesn’t sound correct.

  1. Start Elements
  2. From the splash page that appears, click New Project (lower right)
  3. In the choices that appear, microblog is initially hidden as we have too many Projects to show initially, so you click the Show All tile, which will give you a scrolling list of Projects. Click on microblog and it should open.

Beyond that, you have some decisions to make. The microblog project is set up for multiple authors (departments for you), but all those posts appear intermingled on the Blog page. If you want separate pages for each department, technically you should create three additional clones of the Blog and its Posts page, and work on them individually. But at the moment, you’re not even working with one, so get the foundation working first.

While making multiple clones of the blog sounds logical. I found the project. I just didn’t know where to look.
