Quick Question…Does the CMS Search component search through the whole body of a .md file, or does it only search through the YAML information?

I just tried it on 2 of my pages and the search function worked there for the headers (YAML) and then for the first 500 characters in the md part. Definitely not for the whole text.
That is a test out of practise and I can’t say more about the limits but as far as I know you cannot change it in a setting.

CMS Search uses both the YAML fields and the markdown body.
The body isn’t the whole file though, the markup is stripped and it’s truncated to the first 500 characters.
There’s no setting to change that limit today.
Good to know. I haven’t found the searching through the .md file body to be consistent. Putting in a dummy word a couple hundred words in from the start of the text is not always picked up in a search for it. I do have some HTML in place at times such as to insert a photo or table and wondered if that affects the search as well.
I will have to put more keywords in the YAML heading to increase searchability.
