Component Hierarchy

I have a question about Component hierarchy.
I am going to refer to pic 1.

How do I easily move Components up in hierarchy without changing their actual order?
For example, how do I move Container 4 up the hierarchy to the same hierarchy as say Container 1 but still be below Container 3 (see pic 2)

There appears to be no easy way to do this.
Might it be possible to use the blue line idea currently used but with some enhancement to enable this.
Or might it be possible to use the left and right arrows to move Components left or right?

Hey @paulcruice,

It works a lot like the Finder (or any other native outline view in macOS), so it’s a case of dragging and dropping and looking out for the little blue line indicator.

Here’s a quick video showing how to move things around, with a few tips included. Hope it helps.

Dan, thanks again for the video.
Yes, I have understood the idea of moving Components to other levels this way, but you did something in the video which I have never done, that is, to drag over the very root, as you called it. This does exactly what I wanted to do. It moves it to the highest hierarchy level BUT, it also leaves it in the same order I had the Components. This was the critical part.
The reason I had NOT done this is because when I drag over the root, there is no usual blue line indicator. Instead the whole of the root wording is highlighted blue. This tells me logically this is something quite different so I never released the mouse button to find out what it does. Logically, if it moved the Container to another level, I was expecting the same blue indicator of position as for other moves.

We are back to logic again. If I had noticed the same blue line indicator when I moved over the root wording I would never have had to write about the issue as I saw it.
Having said this I suspect there is yet another issue here but I will investigate first and get back to you.
Hope you are having some kind of break over this Passover period.
Cheers.
