Hi all. I’m considering building a website for a small construction firm in Germany. Among other legal guidelines (footer content, etc.), AI tells me this:

Cookie Consent (Cookie Banner)

German law (GDPR and TTDSG) requires a mechanism to obtain user consent before non-essential cookies (like analytics or marketing) are set.

God knows I’m familiar with this - every time I open a site from a company located in Germany I get a cookie permission popup. How would I approach building such a thing in Elements?

There’s two camps in the Community, those that want/like to build their own, and those that would rather outsource regulatory stuff to a third-party provider that specializes in that field.

I’m in the latter camp, so I recommend CookieYes as they take care of all the GDPR stuff for you. Not really sure if they are TTDSG specific (their website doesn’t mention it), you could send them an email and ask.
