Cookie usage on RapidWeaver site

I have just published a site here…
http://www.symbiotic.co

I am using the Gateway Stack from Stacks4Stacks with a pop up message that says…
“This site uses cookies. Some of the cookies we use are essential for parts of the site to operate and have already been set. We also use a Google Analytics script which uses cookies. You may delete and block all cookies from this site, but parts of the site will not work.”

My client is unsure whether the wording of this statement is accurate and he specifically wants to know what things on the site use Cookies.

There is a contact form and Google Analytics code in the head of the home page and Grid Iron Stack on the Glossary page. Would any of these generate Cookies?

Is there a way of finding out which pages (or Stacks) use Cookies on the site?

I’ve only used a couple stacks that use cookies and it was apparent because the options for the stack asked for cookie name and expiration times. You could visit the site yourself making sure you do/visit any function that could possibly use a cookie and then check your browser to see what cookies were set.

There are also online cookie checkers (search “free cookie checker”) though I have found them not too reliable. There are also add-ons/extensions for browsers that will report cookies.

The Chrome extension “EditThisCookie” reports six cookies for the link you gave.
