What requirements do you have for the cookie solution? Is it just a simple “this site uses cookies” type of notice or do you need to block all cookies until the user has ticked the box and agreed?
The reason I’m asking is because it’s fairly “easy” to get ChatGPT to whip up a custom solution if it’s not too complex. The example below adds a banner to the bottom of the site with a tick box option…
I don’t do ChatGBT. Nor Facebook, What’sApp, Twitter…………
I try and avoid Google (and believe me whilst setting up a new Sony TV recently it wasn’t an easy avoid), and I use DuckDuckGo for search and as a browser.
I’m not a Luddite (and I could try and find a 3rd party solution, whether ‘free’ or paid for) but my point here is that I think some basic Cookie sorting ability should be a component element in Elements not an ‘add on’. One of your strongest points in moving users from a Stacks environment will be that they don’t have to purchase add ons for basic website construction.
A built-in element is on the roadmap here https://elements.nolt.io/3 (if you haven’t yet you can vote on it at that link).
Looks like it’s the 2nd most requested thing on the roadmap.
I mentioned this in a another thread, but if you are looking for a third-party solution in the meantime, there is https://www.cookieyes.com/ which several members here have said good things about and use.
