CORDIAL PROJECT design guide for the Elements AI Assistant

Hi everyone,

After Lander, Cordial is the second Multithemes project with a design guide for the Elements AI assistant. The idea is the same (all the details are in the Lander post: a guide written by the designer, saved inside the project memory, that teaches the assistant how Cordial is built. So when you ask for something new, it creates elements that belong to your site instead of generic ones you have to fix by hand.

For Cordial the guide focuses on what makes it recognizable: the exclusive Cordial font, the clean layouts and the soft movement of menu, header and titles. And the style stays yours to shape: a different color or a more classic font is recorded once and applied to everything you build next.

What’s inside (summary):

  • User decisions: your own choices (e.g. a new palette) are recorded once and always win, also after guide updates
  • How to use: precedence over nearby elements, models to clone, short commands like “Cordial style”
  • Mood and style in plain words
  • Section models: exact names in the tree to clone
  • Palette, typography, buttons, spacing, images, with light/dark pairs and tested contrast
  • Navigation options and page roles
  • Naming convention of the tree
  • Help for users coming from RapidWeaver Classic :heart:
  • A short list of related components to suggest, only when useful

Try it: “Add three white cards with an icon, a title and a short text, like the ones on the Starter page”, or “check Cordial style” to review a page.

How to get it:

  • New project: update Cordial from the Elements Store and start from it. The guide is already inside.
  • Site already started: open the updated Cordial and read the block at the top of the home page.
  • Bought Cordial on the Multithemes Store? You will receive an email with the download link and all the instructions: I am sending them out now.

The guide is hosted online and kept up to date: just ask your assistant “check Cordial guide updates”. As for Cordial, the assistant is not included: connect your own through Elements > Settings > AI.
