I was wondering how Elements can replace wordpress for blogging
There is a CMS being developed with a blog component now. ETA is unknown, but there are Dev Diary videos about it. As for the other part of your title concerning iOS, I do not understand what you are asking.
Hi @scottsimons
Happy to hear you’re considering the switch to Elements!
As Steve says above, we are in the process of building a CMS system for Elements — the first version will be limited to creating and editing content directly within Elements.
We will be adding online editing capabilities to the CMS in the future, but our focus is to first build a solid CMS system in to Elements.
We can’t say exactly when the CMS will ship, but we are actively working on it right now and we hope to be able to share more updates in the near future.
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask
thanks for the quick response, looks very exciting, I see that the CMS Collections was using Markdown Articles already created and dragged into the folder, my question is, how can I create an “article” on the road, using a template, that I can then upload/post to the component
For the initial version of the CMS, you would have to do that manually.
Once we have the CMS online editing completed you will be able to login from anywhere and create blog posts.
As in… upload the Markdown file onto your server (via FTP or similar) if you wanted to do it via iOS.
