Creating an accordion of 7 posts

I want to create an accordion that holds 7 posts which is updated daily with the post that will become number 8 dropping off each day and each other post moving down in sequence could someone give me a step by step example of how to achieve this using CMS please.

I also need to create a contact page that works with my hosting company’s SMPT set up that will not require any special settings to be disabled.

here are the settings used

  • Incoming mail server (IMAP):

  • Secure IMAP port: 993

  • Outgoing mail server (SMTP):

  • SMTP port (Using STARTTLS): 587

Yes you can absolutely do this, just place an accordion on the page inside a CMS collection, like this:

Yes that should also be fine, just make sure your server supports PHP 8.4 and you should be good to go.

Thank you Dan, The video goes way to fast for me to follow, a set of instructions or a diagram of what goes where and what settings should be used would be easier fro me to grasp. My brain doesn’t work that fast, at half speed, I may be able to follow, but by the time I figure out what is going on I lose the plot. I have tried stopping the video but without sound and some explanation my mind feels like a sea of mud. It would be easier if the video could be slowed and showed what the settings for each component was. the mouse is moving so fast that it almost appears as though it isn’t quite sure what its supposed to be doing. I guess my confusion stems from my father who was a chartered accountant. He would take a foolscap sheet of paper filled with columns of £ shillings and pence move his finger down each column at the speed you use your mouse and write the total for each column. It didn’t educate me because it was all happening in his brain. All I saw was someone brilliant at adding up at a phenomenal speed.

Could you use the Pause button and step through the video slowly?

..at the bottom right corner is also a button (looks like a watch face) with different video speed settings..available as half-speed (0.5x)

Thanks for that Utzy no clockface though except on the left where there are 2 but no speed control. However there was this symbol >> bottom right which I assumed took you too the end but did when clicked gave a speed setting option. So Thanks, thats very helpful. I had looked for one before, but skipped clicking the arrows.

What I want to emulate is this which is controlled by cms completely and I can add each todays thought from anywhere there is an internet connection, from my phone tablet purely by logging in to the site, and each entry is automatically moved down by date. I copy and paste a new thought which is added to the bible accordion and update yesterdays post to todays post.

Just as a side note - just looked at your site and I find it very difficult to read white text over your baptism picture. If you can’t find a suitable colour of text then put it in a container with a small amount of opaqueness on so that you can see pic and read text.

Many thanks Paul for your valuable feedback all done. It is meant to be a fixed background image. Unfortunately and for some reason it doesn’t work in stacks. The Our Belief page is built in Elements where the fixed background image works perfectly well. However the beauty of Joe Workman’s TCMS is that it automatically adjusts all the posts housed in the Bible accordion making adding the daily post a quick and almost foolproof affair.

Far better I can read it now. Take Care!

Thank you Paul
