I am new to this so I need a sample for how to make a “CSV or tab-separated text file that contains the locations of the warehoused images.”

Easiest thing is to just make a spread sheet and export it to a csv

Yep. You probably have numbers on your Mac. Use that to create a table of data, then export to CSV.
