When using an HTML component, copying and then changing the html code for different pages, get the same html overwriting the original page/html component.
Does this mean I have to add a new html component for every page that I want a different html to feature?
At the top of inspector theres the heading “HTML” when you open it. I fist overwriting you need to give each HTML Component a different name. Once you have one comment set up you can use it multiple times times. However if you just have one and overwrite each time then it will change of every page you have it.

When I rename components it appears uniquely in the components view (custom).
So does this mean I have to set up uniquely for each page, and therefore have multiple html components in the custom components view?
So for example I have three shopping HTML Snippets, I make three HTML components in Custom give them a unique name and then they can be used anywhere, multiple times. Once set up you just drag them into page where you want them. Have look at my shop here https://ezyasabc.co.uk - I dont expect you to buy anything 
Each of the items for sale is one unique snippet and the all for sale is another unique snippet. Hope this helps, if it doesn’t let me know and I’ll try to help you further.
