I download the files to a folder on the desktop and then use Cyberduck to put them in a (test)folder on the server. All the folders get a clock next to them as if it’s still downloading but nothing happens. If I put it on the sever most pictures get a question mark. Also everything with an index.css gets a Tor browser icon and they open the Tor browser. No idea what is happening.
Hi @Tov0811
Are you exporting to an iCloud Drive folder on your Mac?
Regarding the Tor browser thing, that’s not really an Elements issue. At some point you either changed something on your Mac so it thinks the default app to open .css files is the Tor Browser, or your Mac has just never had a default app for .css files and it thinks the Tor browser is the best option.
To resolve that you can right-click on a file (the .css file in this case), select Open With, then select Other, select the default app you want to open that file type with, then check the “Always Open With” box, then Open.
I don’t use an iCloud Drive folder just a normal folder on the desktop.
I don’t have a dedicated css anymore but have changed it to textedit.
Ok, but do you use iCloud at all (or another cloud storage syncing service)? I’ve seen those clock icons on folders connected to iCloud Drive. There’s a setting to sync your Documents and Desktop folders to iCloud. Do you have that setting enabled?
Only on my iPad and phone not on my desktop. And it hasn’t happened before.
Ok, perhaps double check though to make sure there isn’t any kind of cloud syncing connected to that folder.
Try to do another “Publish All Files” to that local folder to see if the clock icons disappear.
Hi Dan, downloading to the new folder worked. Initially, after uploading to the server the ‘clocks’ came back in the folder.? I do have Proton drive but only for a few dedicated folders/pictures and this folder isn’t in it.
Funny thing, the Index.css icon stays the same (Tor)but it now opens with text edit.
