Delete Global site wide, but leave the content in place?

I need to recreate one site wide multi component global and break it into smaller parts. Is there a way to unlink the global without losing the content?

Or is there a way to break the global into it’s components without losing the setup?

You can right-click, “Unlink from Global” on each one to leave the content in place.

Thanks @dan I must not have made myself clear. I have about 100 instances of the global. I want to unlink all of them quickly without losing their content.

There isn’t, as far as I know, a way to do that…

You’ll just have to right click each one…

I”ve done that also.. made template page duplicated 100 copies the had to right click to customize each page (thought I wanted a global but changed my mind later)

I’m wondering why you want to unlink them all? Perhaps there is another way to solve your issue.

What do you have, and what do you need?

@dan Look at my site. https://www.kieffer.us I need a way to enter the price say on the home page and that same amount appears on the item’s detail page. I asked in another post if there was a way to use a formula to make one text field = anther text field. CMS was suggested, but that setup is too complicated for me. I’ve tried numerous times to make globals for every price, but I run into serious trouble because I created my original globals as “groups”. I really need a simple way to make the prices match without me needing to enter them twice. It cannot be complex, or require me to rebuild my site. That is not worth the effort since my site is fairly simple, and as I sell more items, it will become even simpler.

Went to your site - just wanted to say it looks good :+1: - nice job

An option:
Do a Vibralogix store - then in an administrative portal - you add pictures, price and descriptions…

Basically you make two pages:

One store page - one line of code

One product page - more placeholders for info

If you want to see my store:

PlayTheBlues.com 500+ blues recordings

Your photos are unnecessary large (pixels).

I discussed image size before and I was told 1920 wide was a good size. I’m using the same image on my home page as on the item detail page. The image size is not affecting my sales.

Run it on Google speed - https://pagespeed.web.dev/

Do it on several pages.

tried this needs more work, uses a json file on the server, only need to update json file, then drop in the prices and price component (each price area on each page) and enter corresponding number, just a quick exercise, at the moment just a plain file, can be read if use address, but only the same as on the site, need to add some protection

you can see Elements view and on my website

Using alpine $store, like this with Tailwind and Apline

all from the one json file just add remove adjust and update this file
