Using classic+Stacks+Foundry3, my simple amateur web site uses a lot of Models. Unfortunately, despite Danny’s video tutorial, I cannot master how to create one, even though I have watched multiple times and refer to it step by step, I have had no success. I need to use an image as a trigger (by hovering over) to bring up some related text - fantastic if this could be animated in some way, flipping, folding or sliding etc. It would seem possible, but I just cannot workout how to achieve this. Is there anyone out there able to help with a step by step guide for a fool like me? I can’t code or use snippets.
If you look Dan has a video and underneath there’s a shortcut to file to download with a picture modal example of a dog. I am away from computer at moment so can’t find file.
basic as I can show this, modal close, can show that, but just this closes anyway, all the rest is making look good and how you want to place it all
in the modal properties there are transition settings with slide options
if you just want to hover and show text this can be completed different ways
We have a pre-built example in the Core Templates, look under…
Resources > Core > Interactive > Photo Modal
I recorded a quick video explaining a little more about how the modal works… it’s a bit all over the place, but hopefully it helps. Do let me know if you need me to clarify anything!
Thank you so much, Dan, for making my video, I will try it later. It’s really useful for me as I suffer from some challenging cognitive disabilities following a severe stroke a number of years ago.
Thank very much for making me this video tutorial, I will try it later on today. It is very kiund of you to share your expertise and time. You mentioned that there are other ways to hover and show text - would that be like the tooltip and popover function in the image stack of Foundry3? If yes, I would be interested in finding out about any other ways it can be achieved - that way I can have some more options, and maybe one will be easier to master for someone with cognitive disabilities (from a stroke) like me. Thanks
Thanks Paul, I will try this later. It’s great to have guys in the forum that offer help so readily.
two I did with downloads, but many options
