Dev Diary 81: Big CMS Update: New Components & Full Twig Templating!

Hey all,

The Elements CMS is growing fast, a big thank you to everyone who’s shared feedback so far. This week, we’ve taken a big step forward by adding Twig templating support, opening up even more flexibility and control.

The CMS is still taking shape, and your input is key to making it great. Let us know what you love, what’s missing, and what you’d like us to build next.

When will the CMS components be released?

Seriously impressive.

Reminds me of a Gary Larson cartoon (I worked with him early in his career): “Professor Dan, can I be excused, my brain is full.”

Yeah this is such a value add to Elements. I work in local government and have had to manually build our tourism site. I look forward to redoing my Foundry 3 work with Elements, CMS and Twig so other people can actually edit the content and we can have a dynamic calendar of events.

We can’t say when just yet, but within the next few weeks — just don’t hold me to that

That’s awesome to hear — if you need any pointers, just post a question here on the forum and we’ll be happy to help

This just keeps getting better and better.

It is now going to be impossibly hard to wait for this to arrive in our hands.

Fantastic work.

I believe our faith in Elements is coming to fruition.

I forgot to add that the no publishing feature is something that should be touted more proudly, it is going to be amazing.

Brilliant. Especially that no publishing is needed to see how it looks. Can’t wait to play with this. And looking very much forward to the cms UI, which will be so much more useful especially for non-tech savvy clients.

Doing my best to get this in your hands ASAP :smiley:

Really happy you both noticed how big of a deal that “little” feature is — it’s so nice to be able to preview everything without having to publish to a remote/local server :ok_hand:
