Later today we’ll be launching version 1.1.2 of Elements, and while the version number change is small, there’s a surprising number of BIG enhancements packed into this build.
This new build contains a lot of improvements for those of you that love using Remote Resources (aka Wharehousing in old classic speak). We’ve also made some insane improvements to saving speeds. For example; saving a project with over 7000 images used to take around 35 seconds, saving the same file in 1.1.2 is down to less than 1 second
Watch the entire video to see all the great new features before the new build drops later today!
Now that Elements has hit the v1 milestone, now is a great time to jump in and start building your next website. Visit elementsapp.io to pick up your copy today.
Try the Elements Demo
The new trial mode in Elements lets you explore the full app and build up to three pages, giving you a feel for the design workflow and features. While export and publishing are disabled in the trial, everything else is fully functional, so you can see exactly how Elements works before committing.
It’s the best way to experience the speed and simplicity of a modern website builder. You can now Download Elements with the new trial mode.
Thanks for Your Feedback
The Elements app evolves directly from your suggestions, and as always, we’d love to hear what you think so far. Your feedback truly makes all the difference
Thank you for the icon tweaks, my eyes are already a lot happier.
QUESTION: are there any plans to add support to the remote resources for pointing at a folder on the server as opposed to having to load all of the URLs? Seems like an obvious option and would save a huge amount of pain if you had a lot of remote resources. I had abandoned using remote resources previously simply because it was to painful to add them all individually. This is better now but still not optimal, really needs support for adding a URL to a folder and then parsing that to find all of the remote resources in the folder.
Yes, you’d think this would be simple to add, but unfortunately, it’s not a trivial thing to implement. Having said that we have future plans to offer a built-in CDN that would enable us to do this and so much more.
Anyway, that’s for the future… but rest assured further improvements to remote resources are on our radar
I hope the new improvements didn’t make it not work on my system.
I have tried reinstall and another project file and nothing. It just spins. It is also not chewing resources. I have forgotten my sysadmin days to I would truss the process and see where it is stuck.
