Yesterday we dropped a new update for those in the beta group. If you want in on the beta, please request access here.
As promised I’m trying to keep these DevDiary videos to under 10 minutes. Today we go over a few nice enhancements in the beta and look at little project I put together. You can download the Link in Bio Elements project here if you’d like to follow along.
Feedback
Keep the beta feedback coming, together we can ship the best web design software on the Mac! If you have any questions about today’s video please post them below.
One thing I don’t remember seeing being demoed is how to edit information about a page. I don’t seem to find any means of editing this information in the BETA.
@Drew I’ll get @dan to add you to the early beta list. We had a lot of interest from people wanting to beta test Elements and needed a more controlled way of releasing it so we don’t get overwhelmed with the feedback. Everyone in the previous beta sign will have the opportunity to test Elements soon.
@handshaper We disabled the page info UI in the current beta as we’d like to redesign this UI. Expect it in a beta soon!
Thank you Tom, that is kind of you and timely. One of the organisations for whom I develop their website has been discussing with me how they may share the development load with me, now they need to update the site. I suggested they hold on until Elements is more advanced, so we can appraise whether we produce the new site using Elements and focus on training another person to use the new app; getting an impression of how the more intuitive interface helps us both will be a helpful step.
Thanks everyone, we’ve been absolutely blown-away with all the requests for access to the early beta. We’re going to close this thread for now, while we try to catch up.
