Dev Diary Ep71 - Editor Optimised

Hello again,

We’ve been hard at work squashing bugs and addressing all the issues reported in the last few builds. Along the way, we’ve also made some solid improvements to the editor’s performance — it’s now snappier than ever!

Check out the video below for a quick overview of what’s new in today’s build. Thanks as always for your feedback and support!

Thanks, Dan.

I’ve noted the delays :snail: with the Harvey projects. It’s been fixed quickly, which is great! :clap:t2:

I would like to discuss the theme’s color options. It would be beneficial to have the choice to select colors for the brand, surface, and account.

Example; I can color surfaceis red or blue!!

Regarding the slider:

  • I would love to have the option to add icons.
  • If we enable arrows for navigation, it would be helpful to have an option for arrow inside the image without padding beside.
  • Additionally, it would be great to have the ability to add a container within the slider for paragraphs and titles.

Thank you!

We’ve got a more advanced Carousel component in the works that will include a lot more features and offer much greater flexibility than the Image Slider.

The Image Slider has been intentionally designed with a concise feature set so that it just works right out of the box :slightly_smiling_face:

Hello @ben
I agree with your features for the advanced Carousel component.

We are waiting for it :clap:t2:

Don’t forget that one of the newer carousel uses is to pepper in an ad instead of every nth image.

You’ll be able to manually build out the slides for the Carousel exactly how you want them — so you’ll be able to insert “ad slides” wherever you like

That works for static ads, but all my advertisers are dynamic. They want to insert code.

You’ll be able to put whatever you want in there, including code via Custom Components

I get an error when adding an image to the slider

That’s a bug, it shouldn’t display that error, however you need to add a folder of images (rather than a single image) to the Image Slider

TBH, tried to buy a licence for the Elements Base edition via Apple Pay (on an iPad) but the process fails - no notifications/receipt via email, no error message, nothing. Any ideas?

Sorry about that, it must have been an issue with out Payment processor (Fastsping). We’ll look into it.

In the meantime, I see your order has now gone through — thanks for your support

Yes Dan, went via PayPal on a Mac instead - success!

Best!
